Sales Executive

Zope Corporation seeks an experienced Sales Executive to help plan and implement the sales strategy for its hosted internet solutions for publishers.

Services include core content management, ad management, reader/subscriber management, classifieds management, blogs, federated search, video/audio/mixed media provided out of Tier 1 data centers and at competitive prices. Executive will cultivate revenue-producing relationships within the local newspaper and vertical publishing marketplaces. Will conduct presentations and demonstrations, initiate account strategies and lead prospects through the sales cycle, setting schedules, building relationships and closing deals. Established network of relationships and track- record in the newspaper industry, a plus.

Requirements

  • Successful, provable track record of exceeding individual quota responsibilities
  • Four (4) years enterprise software business development/sales; emphasis on solution-based integration software sales
  • Four (4) years of enterprise software sales in the local media and/or newspaper marketplace
  • Solid understanding of the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business model
  • Substantial proficiency with current technology and the internet
  • Ability to work independently
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Excellent planning and time management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Team Player – develop / maintain productive relationships with Zope Corporation technical staff

Responsibilites

  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue objectives
  • Conduct sales calls and meetings with well prepared presentations and demonstrations
  • Help plan / implement sales strategies focusing on objectives that promote Zope Corp
  • Develop prospecting lists
  • Product development lifecycle enhancement: collect, organize, prioritize requirements from existing and prospective customers
  • Create, Manage, Maintain monthly and quarterly pipeline requirements
  • Manage/maintain accurate forecasts plus customer account plans for territory
  • Work actively with targeted accounts: build relationships with third parties and partners who can influence sales of Zope Corporation products
  • Develop comprehensive territory portfolio strategy to include working through customer procurement/acquisition process
  • Organize/participate in marketing initiatives (e.g., collateral design, messaging, tradeshows)

The Zope4Media platform has allowed GateHouse to focus on training journalists at weekly papers to publish daily content on the web, while not distracting them with the technology. As we bring our daily papers online using Zope4Media, sites already on the platform will benefit from the new features required by the larger sites. Our smallest newspaper will have the same tools to help grow their online audience and revenue as our largest newspaper. This technology is powerful and very flexible and Zope is clearly a leader in this field.
